Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

CRASH COSTS

• Road accidents could be reduced if both sides of industry would devote more resources to road safety activities, says the RAC. This will be the central theme of a seminar entitled Road Safety and Industry — Cutting the Costs, to be staged by the RAC in association with the TUC, the Freight Transport Association and the Association of Industrial Road Safety Officers, at the RAC Club in London on 3 June.

The seminar will be opened by Secretary of State for Transport John Moore. Subjects covered by speakers will include ways in which industry could — and should — contribute towards reducing road accidents, and will also emphasise the financial advantages that would result, to the benefit of managers, workers and the national economy.

For more information contact the RAC on 01-839 7050.
