CHILTERN GATHERING • The Chiltern Gathering of road transport will take place at Didcot on Sunday, 21 June and will include preserved buses and commercial vehicles as well as a variety of cars and cycles_ A new venue near Didcot town centre has been found, and at Didcot Railway Centre Great Western Railway locomotives will give steam train rides on two demonstration lines.
There will be an entry charge of £1 per vehicle; society sales stands are also welcome at £5 per stand.

ALL AT SEA • The second Safe Ship/Safe Cargo conference and exhibition will take place at the Bloomsbury Crest Hotel, London on 29-30 September.
Following the 1985 meeting in Helsingborg, this conference will examine ship design and safe cargo handling procedures. Emphasis will be on RO-RO/ferry operations and design; the carriage of containers of all ship types; safe handling of problem bulks and hazardous materials; classification rules, IMO recommendations, insurance and related areas.
