• Nottingham City Council is buying its first Volvo FL7s, to join its wheeled-dustbin-collector fleet.
The 12 'f-Ride vehicles worth £417,000, are fitted with Norba and Dennis Eagle 23m3 bodies. Four of the 6x 4s have already now entered service; the remainder will be delivered during this year.
The FL7s are powered by 6.7 litre Volvo TD71F intercooled engines delivering 169kW through the Alison MT653 gearboxes. They are being supplied by John Webb.
