of a bus service between Radford and Shirebrook Colliery operated by Nottingham based A Camm after hearing that running times bore no relation to the registered timetable.
Boyd told of a series of complaints about five of the company's 36 registered local services.
Managing director Patrick Camm said the problem over the timetable of the Radford/Shirebrook service was simply an omission in the paperwork. A copy of the new timetable had been handed in to the Traffic Area office, but he accepted a copy had not been sent to the County Council.
Pauline Hall, an executive officer in the Traffic Area's passenger licensing section, said the only timetable they had was the original one.
Boyd said the allegations had not been substantially challenged, but he proposed taking no action in respect of four other services, the registration of one of which had been cancelled. One driver had been dismissed and another reprimanded but further complaints showed the problems still existed. The company were now instituting control measures and he was astonished they had not done so before. He proposed taking no action over the introduction of a variation 15 days too early because Camm had misunderstood the required amount of notice. The company had offered no reasonable excuse for not operating to the registered timetable on the Radford/Shirebrook service. Consequently he was imposing a condition on its licence prohibiting the operation of vehicles on that service or along any part of the route. The registration will be cancelled with effect from April 26 and in the meantime the company will have to revert to the original timetable.
