• National Carriers has been granted authority to take over the Bournemouth Depot of Roadline (UK) Ltd following the withdrawal of an objection by Bournemouth Borough Council.
The company had applied to operate 17 vehicles in possession with six vehicles and two trailers to be acquired from the premises in Station Approach, Ashley Road, Boscombe. The council had opposed on the grounds that the access to the site was unsatisfactory, but after negotiations on the morning of the public inquiry in Bournemouth, Barry Prior for National Carriers told the Deputy Licensing Authority that the council was withdrawing its objection following an assurance that there would be no greater intensity of operations from the site than M the past.
