Brokers, Keith Rayner and David Garratt, have been committed for trial. at Leeds Crown Court by the Bradford Magistrates accused of a series of offences under the Forgery and Counterfeiting Act. Rayner, of Mendip Crescent, Bury and Garratt, of Stock Grove, Rochdale are accused of conspiring together and with others to make false international permits and journey sheets consignment notes, FrA own-account international transport documents and other documents between October 1981 and February 1983. Rayner is also accused of 15 offences of making false instruments, namely copy vehicle registration documents, Italian and French haulage permits, international journey sheets, FTA own-account international transport documents, and certificates of origin. Garratt is also accused of five similar offences.
