Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• North Yorkshire County Council plans to impose a 7.5tonne limit on three roads around Tadcaster.

Area traffic engineer Brian Watson says the ban would affect Wighill Lane, Wetherby Road and York Road: "We have responded to the environmental concerns of the population," Geoff Dunning, of the Road Haulage Association's Northern Region, does not believe that such a ban would have a major effect on hauliers, but he still wants to meet the council to discuss possible consequences.

A spokesperson for local brewer Samuel Smith also believes a ban would not be too damaging: "We are confident the council will supply us with good access ," he says.
