Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

IA he thawing of relations between East and West Europe is throwing up a feast of surprises as witnessed by visitors to this year's Farnborough Air Show. Stories abound about the Russian air force having to raise money on foreign tours by offering Mach 2 trips around the lighthouse in order to get back home.

If the condition of the tyres on their display aircraft is anything to go by, there is clearly an urgent need for foreign currency.

The tread on these tyres on a Sukhoi Su-24MR reconnaissance have long since worn down giving them a slick look, apart from the canvas which is beginning to show.

If this is an example of the serviceability of their aircraft heaven knows what state Russian truck tyres are in.
