Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• Michigan-based Spartan Motors has uprated the midi chassis it showed at Kortrijk last year to suit the European market (CM 6-12 Feb).

The chassis is expected to cost £10,000 less than its European counterparts.

Spartan plans to exhibit a heavier chassis capable of handling up to 17 tonnes GVW at the RAI Bus show at Maastricht in October. Instead of multileaf steel springs it will have full-air suspension with two air bags per axle and outboard shock absorbers. It will be powered by a sixlitre Cummins C-Series engine driving through an Allison MD 3060 transmission.
