• A new trolleybus service looks set to start up in Bradford by 1990, following West Yorkshire Passenger Transport Executive's decision to budget 23 million for a prototype service.
If all goes well the PTE hopes to extend the service to Leeds on 321cm of track. Bradford was the last British town to run trolleybuses: they were withdrawn in 1972.
