Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• Leyland Daf has extended the Dafaid scheme to include all Leyland vehicles, the new scheme being called Leyland Dafaid. The combined British company has also announced a two-year warranty scheme with an optional — paid for — third year.

Dafaid was widely acknowledged as being among the best of the manufactureroperated emergency schemes, and the new Leyland Dafaid contains all the elements of that scheme. It applies to all Leyland, Daf and Leyland Dafbadged vehicles, and has no charges for initial calls to the national central number. In addition, the European International Truck Service (ITS) network of 500 Daf dealers is available to Leyland and Daf operators.

The new Leyland Daf warranty scheme comes into operation on 1 January next year. Under it, all new vehicles have an unlimited distance warranty for the first year on the complete chassis and cab. The driveline and cab get automatic warranty for the second year, under which any part which fails because of faulty materials or workmanship will be repaired or replaced free of charge.

The new optional third-year scheme, called Warranty Plus, extends cab and driveline cover to three years, and an optional corrosion warranty gives cover for the cab and principal boxsections for up to six years.
