1ALPH HILTON, who has yen heavily criticised in a Department of Trade report Mt the running of the now lefunct Hilton Transport Ser vices Ltd., does not think that the investigations findings will harm his future.

Speaking at the offices of the company he now owns and operates, WBS Transport Ltd (Complete Freight Service), in Bermondsey, South East Lon don, Mr Hilton said that he had been given assurances from his customers and financiers that the report would make no difference.

He believes that the inspectors who carried out the investigation were fair, although many of their comments "amounted to speculation."

"I couldn't believe my eyes when I first saw the report. I was fuming. But now it's a bit of a joke and as I read it now I find plenty to laugh about."

Mr Hilton denies having an explosive temper as stated by the inspectors. He said: "I am the sort of chap where if something is wrong I get rid of my feelings straight away and that's an end of it."

Referring to the implication that his life-style suggested an income of -£16,000 a year, he commented: "If I had taken that much I wouldn't have had time to spend it."
