1ERE'S a nice job for you, hey said. Go out to Earls :ourt, have a few meals and pints and then give our (faders the low-down on where they can fulfil the nner man during the Cornnercial Motor Show.
So being a trusting soul, ind greedy with it, off I went — and quickly found out that his cushy number had a :etch to it.
For do you have any idea ust how many hamburger munts, pizza parlours, ipaghetti shops, kebab :Mos, curry centres, Neapoitan nosheries and ritzy 'estaurants there are within en minutes walk of the ,xhibition hall?
In just a quarter-mile Watch of Earls Court Road here are enough eateries to reed every hungry driver in the land in one sitting. And that's not to mention all the Ade-street places which can take care of the traffic nanagers, clerks, managing lirectors and uncle Tom Cobbley. All that's a long-winded way of saying that you will be spoilt for choice and so what we have tried to do in this where to eat guide is pick out a cross-section of what's on offer.
For starters it seemed a good idea to re-visit many of the restaurants which have been featured in previous years and have proved popular with Show visitors.
But since this is the last time that the Show will be held at Earls Court — Birmingham, here we come — we have also selected some of the more exotic places for you to try. The economic situation hasn't been forgotten either and there is a section devoted to cheaper eating houses.
For those of you who get thirsty walking round all those stands, as if you needed an excuse, we have also included a run-down on the pubs in the area.
