Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

VOR some time past Weather shields Ltd., a motorcar equipment manufacturer, of 48, Moor Street, Birmingham, has been marketing Sunway sliding roof units for fitting to private motorcars. These units are interesting, in that they can be fitted to existing fixed heads with a minimum of expense, and with extreme ease. It has been realized that the unit can also be adapted to commercial vehicles already provided with fixed heads.

Any suitable number of units can be fitted to 'a head, it being customary to employ four in the manner shown in an accompanying sketch. It will be readily realized, however, that only the size of the roof limits •the number of units which can be used. Each standard unit provides an opening measuring 2 ft. by 1 ft. 6 ins., whilst the over

all dimensions of the panels are 4 ft. 7 ins. by 2 ft. 1 in.

The Sunway sliding roof is not by any means a new idea, but it would be as well to give a brief outline of its method of operation. A sliding panel runs on pivotal slide blocks carried in a stout ash frame. When closed the movable portion fits snugly over a raised seating edge, making _a perfectly watertight joint. The woodwork throughout

The four hatches moved back ; each is of ash, and the roof sections are opening is 2 ft. by I ft. 6.ins. covered with fabric. A pair of

thumbscrews locks the sliding por tion in place when in either the open or closed positions.

Sunway units are delivered to coachbuilders or vehicle-owners, _ completely Assembled and ready for fitting into roofs. The exact measurements for cutting are also supplied, so that a coach or bodybuilder should have no difficulty in fitting one of these roofs in the course of a few hours. The standard unit is priced at 5, but Weathershields Ltd. has facilities for making up units to the customer's own requirements
