A T the Bakers and Confectioners ei.Exhibition which was held at the Royal Agricultural Ilan, Islington, London, N.1, during the week ended September 18th, A. Ferraris, Ltd., the wellknown Ford dealer, of 10, Pancras Road, King's Cross, London, N.W.1, exhibited for the first time a new body conversion for the Ford Tudor saloon car. The object of the conversion is that the saloon ear may be used for business purposes when required.

The rear panel of the car is converted into a wide and well-fitting door. All the interior upholstery behind the driver's seat is made detachable and partitions are provided to prevent goods, which may be carried in the rear corn partment, from falling either forward on to the driver and his companion, or sideways against the side windows. Needless to say, any form of interior fitting can be arranged. The compartment may be equipped with hangers for gowns, etc., or shelves or racks for carrying shoes, haberdashery, or other articles. The loading space behind the driver is 3 ft. 6 ins, long and 3 ft. 7 ins. wide, so that a volume of about 50 cubic ft. is available for the commercial load.

Styled the Karikleeti conversion, the alteration can be made in six days at a cost of £30, and the new Ford Tudor saloon equipped in this way sells for 225.

A. Ferraris, Ltd., has also devised and constructed especially for bakers and confectioners a new 1,000-loaf Ford van, employing the latest 1-ton chassis. Tho body interior is divided kin by partitions and shelves of different depths, access to them being gained by hinged flaps which enable each side and the rear panel of the van to be com

pletely opened; if necessary. Cleanliness is thus ensured and the quick lending and unloading of the bread is ren

dered an easy matter. Painted and lettered to the purchaser's requirements, this van sells for £295.
