WEST YORKSHIRE-based Bedfords Group has picked up three former customers of failed haulier Bill Chippington Haulage: Flint Group, Eclipse Print and Kermi.
Bill Chippington was placed into administration and ceased trading in June. Bedfords stepped in to ensure existing contracts continued to be serviced.
MD Steff Pfadenhauer said: "These businesses are welcome additions to the Bedfords portfolio and fit within our business strategy. While our main focus has been consolidation, we are always seeking new clients."
Bedfords said five jobs have been saved in the process. Flint Group European supply chain director Vijay Patel said: "The transition from Bill Chippington to Bedfords was handled without any issues, ensuring customers received deliveries on time crucial to the newspaper industry."
