MERCEDES-Benz dealer Mertrux has recruited two new employees for its sales team.
Alex Stamp and Meg Stamp who are not related have joined the company as truck sales trainees, and emerged through a national recruitment campaign run by Mercedes-Benz UK. The dealership operates new sales sites in Derby, Leicester and Nottingham, as well as a used truck site in Mansfield. Truck sales manager Ian Brown said the company was initially only after one new sales person, but that they were so impressed with the applicants they employed both. Meg, 22, (pictured left) previously worked in van sales. "There's a huge amount to absorb, but we're both really enjoying getting to grips with it all," she
said. "The technical side what modern trucks are capable of is fascinating."
Alex, 28, (right) comes from the licenced trade. He said: "We're being given a solid grounding in all the other factors that are so important to operators, such as vehicle servicing, parts supply, breakdown cover, compliance and finance."
