Welcome to Laurie Dealer's used truck of the week. Each week our man inside the used truck trade picks out a truck or trailer from CM's online classified list. This week it's a 26-tonne Mercedes-Benz Axor
This week's top used truck is a 2011-registered Mercedes-Benz Axor 2533 with a curtain-sided body. Powering the truck is a six-cylinder 7.2-litre Euro-5 engine, which delivers 330hp and 1,300Nm torque. It has a high-roof sleeper cab, a JO Payne-built 8.50m-long curtain-sided body and a 1.5-tonne tuckaway tail-lift. The 6x2 configuration also includes a rear-lift axle. The 26-tonne rigid is on an 11-plate, has only had one owner and comes with a full-service history. While Mercedes lacks marketshare in the heavier rigid sector, the Axor is seen as a reliable product. It always garners interest, which will increase as this truck is less than three years old, and the high-roof sleeper cab will
help widen its appeal too. The 26-tonner has become the go-to truck for own-account operators, as it maximises payload and delivery over an 18-tonner. The truck is being sold by Brandrick Trucks, which is based in
Rowley Regis, West Midlands.
