Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

More trucking crap on TV

In reference to Truckers, shown on BBC One, 10 October: what a degrading, annoying and insulting programme that was. I have spoken to three ex-drivers, and four ownerdrivers who would quite happily stone those involved with the show.

One is an ex-tank transporter driver who would be willing to drive a Chieftain over the top of them! The main character was portrayed as a drunk, dope-smoking incompetent. The BBC should be ashamed of spending licence payers' money on this utter crap. The industry is short of drivers and this

garbage portrays the wrong image to future generations and does nothing to encourage new recruits.

The industry deserves much better. Absolute utter garbage, bin it! Peter C Clarke Durham

Ed's note: Apparently 2.88 million people watched the opening episode of the new drama, with 2.2 million watching the second. We haven't heard anyone with a good word to say about it yet, so it will be interesting to see how many people continue to watch it.
