• Britain's truck market needs urgent intensive care, according to Rod England, chairman of the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders' CV section. SMMT figures for the year so far show that output in the UK is down almost 28% on 1990. Production for export was up by 4.6% for the corresponding period.
