Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

in French farmers have struck at British hauliers again, setting over 1,000 sheep loose from one operator's truck and burning another driver's load of mutton.

Last Saturday (19 October) three lorries belonging to North Yorkshire haulier F Machin Transport were stopped by farmers in Bourges, central France. They released 1,200 sheep.

Most were recovered; the drivers and trucks were unharmed. The nine-vehicle firm, based near York, is undeterred and says it will continue to make up to 10 deliveries a week on the same route.

Last year Machin had a load of sheep taken by French farmers and slaughtered in an abattoir in Bellac, central France.

A British truck driver was assaulted on Monday while transporting mutton through Brittany and his load burned. The Ministry of Agriculture is calling for better police protection of UK trucks.
