Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

/ Scottish haulier Kildonan Transport has closed depots on the remote Scottish islands of Mull and Islay because the oper ation was losing £120,000 a year.

But the company is continuing to deliver to the two islands us ing 16.5-tonners which make various drops before returning to Glasgow.

Kildonan has been angered by the ferry operator Caledonian MacBrayne which has allowed smaller hauliers running 7.5-tonners to travel to the islands at the car rate. Kildonan director Andrew Walker says his company is increasing its chilled distribution services on the other islands where it benefits from thriving fishing communities.
