A SWISS plan to introduc special tax on foreign Ibr passing in transit across Si zerland has been rejected by EEC authorities in Brussels.
The tax has been suggeste a study prepared for the Sv Government to cover the co5 the extra wear and tear on ror and improve existing links.
But EEC vice-president 1 helm Haferkamp has hintec retaliatory measures if the ta introduced.
He said in an interview month that some EEC count could well slap a retaliatory on Swiss lorries entering tl territory.
He also feared that the tax cause unnecessary conges1 at frontier posts.
