THEY SAY you can never be too early when you want to convince someone of the justice of your cause.

That certainly is the view of the Freight Transport Association, which led a delegation of transport and industry representatives to try to further the case for increased lorry weights when it met Transport Secretary David Howell on his first full day in office.
