Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

A N express bus service between Birmingham and London using the new. motorway is planned by the Birmingham and Midland Motor Omnibus Co., Lid. The motorway is scheduled for completion next autumn, and the company have applied to the West Midland Traffic Commissioners for permission to take advantage of the unrestricted 65 miles of reserved route. Their present services to London take 5-1 hours, but the new service would mean a non-stop run of 3 hours 25 minutes between Digbeth Coach Terminal, Birmingham, and London's Victoria Coach Station.

Midland Red have also applied for duplicates on the existing services, carrying only through passengers, to be routed via the motorway at the new timing.
