• The Solvents Business of ICI Chemicals & Polymers has been recognised as a supplier of engineering solvents under the BS 5750 part II and ISO 9002 quality assurance registration scheme.
"This means," says the company, that ICI solvent products and services covered by this approval will meet the most rigorous customer quality requirements. ICI is the only manufacturer of non-flammable solvents to hold such approval."
ICI's Solvents Business supplies Genldene, Trildone, Perklone and Propaklone. Genklene is a non-flammable, low-toxicity chlorinated solvent suited to a variety of cold or vapour cleaning applications in maintenance activities within the engineering and electronics industries.
Triklone is a general-purpose vapour cleaning product while Perldone removes high melting point waxes and greases. Propaldone is an ICI solvent formulated to address in-line cleaning of printed circuit board assemblies.
