A newspaper correspondent suggests that those doing physically arduous work, among whom he includes longdistance lorry drivers, should be allowed to draw the State pension long before the age of 65. Is long-distance work more exhausting than local delivery, often entirely in heavy traffic? And how many men continue to drive lorries until they are 65? Perhaps readers will tell me.
