CONCESSIONARY FARES for all — that's the idea from one district council in the South-west.
Woodbridge District Council has decided it wants to make the cut-rate fares available not only to children and OAPs but to all its ratepayers travelling to and from its area.
The Council proposes to subsidize a 30p or 20p fare for individuals on services operated by National Bus subsidiary Bristol Omnibus Company, except during the rushhours.
Bristol Omnibus has costed the scheme and it has now gone to the Western Area Traffic Commissioners who will announce their verdict soon.
