BARGAIN off-peak and rail fares are being offered by Greater Manchester Council on Greater Manchester Transport and British Rail services in Greater Manchester County on selected days in December.
"Festive" fares with a maximum return of 10p will be available between 9.30am and 3.30pm on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday 4, 5, 6 December and all day on Sunday 3, 10, 17, 24 and 31 December to encourage use of spare capacity on buses and trains and to deter people from taking their cars to the city centre.
