BAD NEWS for potential London and South-East England road hauliers is contained in a financial survey published by Inter Company Comparisons Ltd.

In an examination of 614 road hauliers, it has divided its findings into two areas, London and South, and Midlands and North.

Of the unquoted sector companies in the London and South section, ICC finds flu 60 per cent increased the turnover, while only 50 pE cent increased profits. 68 p( cent added to their assets, 7 per cent enlarged their liabi ities, and almost 55 per cer paid more to their directors.

Performance figures for th Midlands and North work ot similarly, but higher profit are returned by no less than 6 per cent of the hauliers.
