• The London Borough of Southwark, along with several other London authorities, including the GLC, is now using Taskers urban tipping trailers. Twelve of the 16 vehicles ordered by Southwark have now been supplied by Cravens Industries Sales Ltd, of Andover. Each unit is 5.4 tons trailer gross weight with a 17 cu yd capacity and is fitted with Edbro 2EN tipping gear.
These trailers have air pressure braking to C & U Regulations. Until recently refuse disposal vehicles were exempt from plating regulations.
