Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• A major expansion of its international service is announced by the Freight Transport Association. It consists of sets of information sheets, each set detailing both the road transport operational requirements of an individual country and the transport services (road, rail, air, sea) available from the UK. In addition, explanatory sets have been prepared on such international conventions as ADR, TIR and CMR.

For easy storage, the sets may be obtained in a special binder forming a compendium of international transport operation costing £6. Also the individual components may be obtained separately, the information sheets costing 40p per country set and the binder £2. The explanatory sets on international conventions are free. Countries covered at present are Austria, Belgium, Denmark, France, Federal Republic of Germany, Italy, Luxembourg, The Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, Spain, Sweden and Switzerland.

The compendium complements FTA's international advisory service, whereby advice and information may be obtained on any aspect of international freight movement, whether it be by members' own vehicles, or using "hired in" transport.

• An addition to the preliminary list of 1973 Lorry Driver of the Year eliminating rounds published recently is that of the Isle of Man Centre, on April 8.
