Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• North Sea Ferries has placed a £.20m order for two second-generation ferries of 12,500 tons — the largest planned for North Sea services — and when they enter service in 1974 they will be backed by a new freight /passenger terminal to be built by British Transport Docks Board at Hull.

This was the news given by Mr Ian Churcher, director and general manager of NSF. and Mr Kenneth Bantock, the BTDB's Humber port director.

Up to 135 freight vehicles or trailers will be accommodated on each ferry; they will replace the Nonvind and Norwave on the Hull-Rotterdam (Europoort) route, these older ferries being switched to HullZeebrugge, on a new ro-ro freight and passenger service. (NSF started a freight-only service to Zeebrugge, thrice weekly, on November 20.) The new dock will be alongside the Victoria Dock, Hull.
