THE Passenger Transport Authorities will have power to arrange travel concessions on their own services and on those which they arrange for other operators to provide in their areas.
This was made plain in the Commons by Mrs. Barbara Castle, who added that she was also considering whether other provision about concessions should be made pending the setting up of the PTAs.
She would be issuing a statement about this as soon as possible.
