Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

EFFORTS are being made jointly by the Road Haulage Assoceation ard the National Farmers' Union to prevent the abuse of C licences by a minority of farmers. The Union believes that unless illegal activities are stamped out, a further attack may be made on the C-licensee.

When the liaison committee of the R.H.A. and N.F.U. holds its next meeting. it is hoped that some satisfactory definition of the locality within which a farmer C-licensee may carry for hire or reward for his neighbours, will have been devised. Both sides are now examining the matter and when agreement has been reached, an approach will he made to the Minister of Transport.

At a meeting held last week, the N.F.U. stressed the importance of rapid and reliable service for the transport of perishable produce. It is understood that the Union would welcome the display of the R.H.A. badge on the vehicles of all members of the Association, as it is felt that farmers would thereby be assisted in selecting transport services suitable to their needs.
