• Luton and District Transport has taken over two-thirds of Sovereign Bus and Coach's Stevenage operation, including the Stevenage Road Hopper minibus network.
Vehicles and staff are being transfered from Sovereign; the operation is headed by L&DT's Bryan McCall.
L&DT and Sovereign share the Dane Street, Stevenage site, formerly owned by Sovereign, but they are expected to move to their own sites.
Sovereign Bus and Coach is owned by the AJS Group, which recently sold the majority of its interest in Premier Travel of Cambridge, and is also buying out the competing Harlow-based Buzz Co-operative.
