Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

VW BRAKE PROBLEM

• Volkswagen is recalling Volkswagen Caddy pick-ups sold in the UK because of a potential brake problem.

It has been found that in certain circumstances a brake pipe on the rear nearside of the Caddy could chafe against the shock absorber. Volkswagen dealers will check that there is a gap of at least lOmm between the brake pipe and the shock absorber. If there is less, they will gently bend the pipe: if the pipe has already chafed then it will be replaced. No accidents are known to have occurred because of the fault.

All the Caddy pick-ups sold in the UK are involved in the recall. Details are available from Volkswagen dealers.
