Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• There was something for everyone at last week's Association of Vehicle Recovery Operators annual conference and exhibition at Warwick. Bryan Jarvis reports.

• Wreckers International of Hertford showed its second Concept 2000 heavy duty hydraulic recovery unit.

This is destined for fitting on Tom Andrews' Atkinson 6x6 chassis.

Shown in its unfitted state, the unit has an lnterstater under-reach boom with powerful hydraulic extending boom crane.

The main and inner booms are octagonally-shaped with the inner one carrying the winch sheave assembly for allround winching.

At the maximum elevation of 2.59m and fully extended to 4.57m, the Concept 2000 has a 16 tonne SWL. Closed up it is rated at 30 tonnes.

Its hydraulically-powered stiff legs are independently controlled and two 13.6 tonne Rotzeler winches fitted alongside each other have a empty drum traction effort of 137N.
