• The Maclift Leader skip handling unit designed for twoaxle rigid chassis of up to 16 tonnes incorporates a new stabilising jack system to provide good counterbalance with a short rear overhang.
The simplified system, shown at Tipcon (report p27), has telescopic jacks angled at 45°.
'The outer casing of the slide is part of the rear end fabrication.
At its lower end, the inner section carries a die cast aluminium roller.
The hydraulic ram for the jacks operation is housed within the inner slide where it is protected from the environment.
