IT IS taking the Government longer than expected to come to a decision about the lead content in petrol.
Government spokesman Lord Garnsworthy said in the Lords last week that the target of reducing the lead content to 0.45 grammes per litre by January 1 1976 still stood but there were many outstanding problems and no programme could yet be announced.
