WE regret to record the deaths of Mr. W H. W. Downie, Mr. Thomas Sunter and Mr. Harold J. Tuffnell.

Mr. H. W. Downie, general manager, Rhodesia Omnibus Company, died in hospital. Before joining the company at Bulawayo, Mr. Downie held several responsible positions in the capacities of traffic superintendent, traffic manager and general manager.

Mr. Sunter, who died suddenly last Friday at the age of 63, was founder and managing director of Sunter Bros. Ltd., the Northallerton hauliers.

Mr. Tuffnell founder of Tuffnells of Sheffield Ltd., haulage contractors, was 77. He founded the firm in 1912 and retired in 1961.
