MR. R. S. EWING has been appointed director in charge of production of C.A.V., Ltd. In 1955, he became general factory manager of the corn pany's factories at Acton. Rocheste and Sudbury, Suffolk.
MR. C. E. R. MILLIDGE, manager of the Castro! Division, and MR. A. A. BARR, group publicity manager, have been elected directors of C. C. Wakefield and Co., Ltd. They will continue in their present appointments.
MR. FRANK LOCKWOOD, honorary secretary of the Yorkshire branch of the Institute of the Motor Industry for more than 20 years, has indicated his intention to resign as he is no longer a member of the motor industry.

MR. E. A. R. MEAD, joint managing director of the Skefko Ball Bearing Co., Ltd., is to relinquish his position on September 1, but will continue as an executive director until March, 1959. From that date onwards he will remain a member of the board. MR. C. MAGNUSSON Will become sole managing director in September.
MR. D. Smrru has been appointed chairman of the Newcastle upon Tyne branch of the National Employers' Association of Vehicle Builders. MR. A. BARBER is vice-chairman. The new chairman of the Liverpool branch is MR. R. COCKER and MR. J. W. WELSH is Vice-chairman and treasurer. MR, W. K. BARKHAM is chairman of the Spalding branch and MR. J. S. WICKS vice-chairman.
