Peterborough-based Cambridgeshire Fire and Rescue Service. The service will now be able to buy a Comitool — a piece of life-saving equipment which can cut through vehicle doors, roofs and pedals.
The cutting gear will primarily be used on the Al, and in the words of Chief Fire Officer Alan Gray: "The new equipment will enable my service to save precious seconds in releasing trapped people as a result of road traffic accidents."
The RHA says: "Our members are road users and we feel it appropriate to provide sponsorship and donations of this kind to the people on the front line."
