Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

STAMFORD DELAYS PREDICTED ON Al • Drivers have been warned to expect delays on the Al near Stamford while repairs are carried out and safety fencing is installed at Carpenters Lodge Roundabout. Work started on 14 March and will take about 10 weeks.

Carriageway reconstruction and resurfacing will extend from about 300m north to about 950m south of the roundabout; central reserve safety fencing will also be installed. The work will be carried out in phases involving contraflow on each carriageway at various times.

During the project the central reserve gap south of the roundabout opposite Racecourse Road will be closed and there will be no access to, or exit from, the Al at Racecourse Road or the B1081.

Drivers of HGVs more than 3m wide are advised to use the signed alternative route via the A47 and A43.
