Star chairman John Jaws • Dover transport firm BCT has been bought from the Bowater Corporation by Star Cargo Group. The company, now known as BCT (Dover), runs driver-accompanied trailers from Dover, Hull, Felixstowe and Dartford, and says its services will continue as before.
The fast-expanding Star Group owns several transport and shipping firms, including Husk UK, Sealane Freight and Fastnet Forwarding. Chairman John James says BCT will benefit from the complementary services the parent company can offer.
