• Waste disposal contractor A Caird and Sons is buying £1.06 million of shares in Leigh Interests, the skip hire and waste vehicle operator, which is raising £10 million from its shareholders to finance expansion plans.
Caird has bought seven waste disposal companies in the past few months but denies that it wants to take over Leigh, the second largest waste operator in the UK.
