AAmbulances are required to have annual
tests under the light vehicle testing scheme. They are subject to their first test on the third anniversary of the date of their original registration and annually thereafter.
The requirement for such testing is contained in the Motor Vehicles (Tests) Regulations 1968 and covers goods vehicles not exceeding 30cwt unladen, dual-purpose vehicles, private cars and certain other Vehicles including all passenger vehicles, except pay adapted to carry eight or More passengers.
