Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

an extended CM service This week Commercial Motor announces a new service for its readers: an introduction to a professional consultancy company whose standards and ability have been carefully vetted by us. This development will not in any way affect the editorial service that we already give to readers through our CI and A page, which will continue unchanged.

But at the request of a reader with a business problem beyond the scope of a normal editorial inquiry we can now provide a quick and confidential introduction to a reputable professional company with great transport and distribution experience, which will, through its agreement with CM, offer to undertake an initial survey of up to two days, free of charge, and with no obligation upon the inquirer to continue beyond that survey. Any further commitment is entirely at the inquirer's discretion.

The only stipulation we make is that readers seeking such consultancy advice must be proprietors or managing directors of businesses, or of similar calibre.

We would emphasize that no inquiries will be passed on to the consultancy company except at the express request of the inquirer. This service will be quite separate from the normal editorial reader answering service.

CM readers wishing to avail themselves of this new consultancy introduction should write to The Editor, Commercial Motor, Dorset House, Stamford Street, London, SE1, marking the envelope "Consultancy" in the top left corner. Telephone inquiries for this service cannot be accepted.
