• British Magirus Deutz subsidiary, Magirus Deutz (Great Britain) Ltd, is making a special offer from this week onwards to buyers of its range of dump trucks. For a period of a year, at 40,000 miles or 2000 hours, which ever is earlier, the buyer of a truck will have regular servicing carried out free of charge and will not have to pay for oil in oil changes, light bulbs, fan belts and the like, materials or labour. Only tyres have been excluded from 'the warranty. The scheme applies only to the British mainland. Under it a purchaser will be able to call on the firm's field service department to carry out routine services at his own premises or on site, provided he gives at least 10 days' notice.
