Large Country-wide Licence Application
A LFRED BELL, LTD., the Newcastle /al upon Tyne hauliers and warehousemen, seek a new A licence in the West Midlands for five vans with a countrywide normal user; B.R.S. (Pickfords), Ltd„ to add six tankers and hoppers (60t) to their North Western A licences; in the same area Northmix Transport, Ltd., a new B licence for 38 vehicles; and Evans and Richards in South Wales, four additional A "artics " for steel carrying.
In the Western area, A. J, James, Bristol, has applied for three additional A vans for his parcels service, and a Devon haulier, C. Horrell and Son, a new A licence for a low-loader.
The usual applications for contract-A switches include one by L. Flughe:s, Liverpool, to put nine vehicles onA licence. Takeovers sought include 1.4 vehicles on A and B by R. Hanson and Son, Ltd., from Heaps Tours, Ltd., in Yorkshire, and a three-vehicle A licence at Hull by Harris Road Services, Ltd., Northwich, Cheshire, from F. T. Wood and Co., Ltd.
